Choral music for Christmas

Joyeux Noel: original music to contemporary words.   Duration 5'.   4 versions:
For each version there is a vocal score (voice parts and piano) and a full score (voice parts with piano, flute, oboe and strings).

Also, the double bass part can be played on cello, and suitable other instruments could replace the flute and oboe if necessary. String and wind parts are available separately.

  3. SATB with either a) strings and (optional) piano or b) piano and solo violin - vocal score - full score
  4. SAB with either a) strings and (optional) piano or b) piano and solo violin - vocal score - full score

The double bass part can be omitted if necessary. String parts are available separately. (The Violin 1 part shows both Violin 1 for accompaniment 'a' and solo violin for accompaniment 'b' since both are virtually the same.)

NB: for accompaniment 'b', the solo violin part is not shown on the vocal score. Therefore the conductor will require a copy of the full score, no matter which of the two accompaniment options is used.

Two Wassails: two lively traditional Christmas carols (Wassail Song and Gloucestershire Wassail) linked together in a modern arrangement.   Duration 4'.   4 versions:

A Christmas Hymn (for the beasts of the field): original music to words by Scots poet Will H. Ogilvie.   Duration 4' 30''.   2 versions:

Three Irish Poems: three songs written to Irish poems:

Although the words are not specifically about Christmas, the first two are lullabies for a child and the third song is a story set in winter. Each song is not available as a separate item. The suite is designed to be performed as a whole; and in fact the final part of the third song returns to the music of the first. However, the songs are 'self-contained' and could be performed individually if desired.   The total duration is 11'.   4 versions:
